Floris Roland – Co-Founder
Floris Roland brings extensive experience and insight to Spine 8, backed by a robust career in both clinical and corporate healthcare. Floris began his career as a nurse at the University Hospital of Leuven, where he developed a strong foundation in patient care and medical techniques. He soon transitioned to the industry side, joining Zimmer and NuVasive, where his technical expertise and innovative outlook led to a successful trajectory in the company. Over the years, he advanced to the several International sales, product management and marketing roles within the EMEA region, where he honed his strategic vision and leadership in medical technology.
Known for his meticulous organization and forward-looking approach, Floris combines practical knowledge with strategic insight, consistently focused on delivering future-ready solutions. Outside of work, he maintains a passion for sports, including kitesurfing, fitness, and mountain biking.
Jan Verbeek - Co-Founder
Jan Verbeek brings a wealth of clinical and operational experience to Spine 8, anchored by his extensive healthcare and industry background. Jan began his career as a nurse in the operating theater at the University of Leuven, where he built a strong foundation in surgical procedures and patient care. After his time in Leuven, Jan joined Medtronic, where he advanced his technical expertise and deepened his product knowledge, becoming proficient in the latest medical device innovations.
With years of experience in developing the Belgian market, Jan went on to join Medacta as the Sales Manager for Belgium. In this role, he was instrumental in driving growth and strengthening relationships with healthcare providers across the region. Known for his perseverance and commitment, Jan is highly regarded for his expertise in product details, ensuring that every solution is tailored to meet the precise needs of medical professionals.
Outside of work, Jan has a passion for road cycling, a sport that mirrors his dedication and drive. His commitment to excellence and deep understanding of clinical environments make him an invaluable bridge between healthcare providers and cutting-edge technologies, allowing Spine 8 to consistently deliver high-quality, effective solutions.
Yves Rubbens – Co-Founder
Yves Rubbens is a seasoned professional in the field of spinal implants, bringing years of technical expertise and leadership to Spine 8. Yves began his career with Synthes, where he honed his skills as a technical advisor and developed his ability to lead and motivate teams. Following the merger between Synthes and DePuy, Yves continued his professional journey as Sales Manager for Medacta, where he played a pivotal role in driving sales growth and building strong relationships with clients.
Known for his calm demeanor and professional approach, Yves is highly respected for his ability to handle complex challenges with a steady hand and a strategic mindset. His dedication to understanding every detail of his work makes him a trusted partner to both clients and colleagues.
Outside of his career, Yves is a passionate golfer, enjoying the precision and focus the sport demands—qualities he brings into his professional life as well. His blend of technical skill, leadership, and composure strengthens Spine 8's commitment to excellence and reliability in every partnership.
Lars Herwyn - Co-Founder
Lars Herwyn began his career as a physiotherapist, where he developed a strong understanding of patient care and rehabilitation. This foundation paved the way for his transition to the medical device industry, joining Zimmer. After a few successful years in sales, Lars ventured into the independent world of agency work, where he played a crucial role in expanding NuVasive's footprint in Belgium.
Lars’s ability to connect with people and foster relationships laid the groundwork for the formation of Spine 8, bringing together the expertise of Jan, Yves, and Floris to create a dynamic team dedicated to excellence in spinal solutions. Known for his sense of humor and his capacity to engage with individuals at various levels, Lars effectively communicates complex ideas in an accessible manner, making him a valuable asset to both clients and colleagues.

Fabian Dequesne - Spine Specialist
Fabian Dequesne is a highly accomplished professional with a multifaceted background in healthcare. He is a trained nurse with a specialization in operating room techniques, as well as a certified technician in conventional medical imaging (radioprotection certification). Additionally, Fabian holds qualifications as a physiotherapist, further broadening his expertise in patient care and medical technology.
Fabian began his career at Hospithera, where he was instrumental in developing the southern region of Belgium. His work with a diverse medical product portfolio allowed him to acquire extensive industry knowledge, establishing him as a trusted and respected partner.
After Hospithera’s acquisition by Duomed, Fabian joined Spine 8 as a Senior Sales Representative, overseeing the southern regions of Belgium and Brussels. His technical expertise, combined with his organizational precision, ensures exceptional support and solutions for healthcare professionals.
Known for his passion and professionalism, Fabian is committed to driving success and fostering strong client relationships. In his personal life, he enjoys mountain biking and exploring new destinations with his caravan. A proud father of two, Fabian balances his professional and personal pursuits with dedication and enthusiasm.

Nico Roebroeck - Spine Specialist - Product Manager
Nico Roebroeck brings a wealth of experience and expertise to Spine 8. His career began at UZ Leuven, where he worked as a nurse in the operating room, gaining invaluable hands-on knowledge of surgical procedures and patient care.
Eager to expand his horizons, Nico transitioned to the industry side and joined NuVasive as a Technical Support Specialist. In this role, he deepened his understanding of medical technology and developed his skills in providing expert guidance in complex surgical settings.
At Spine 8, Nico plays a dual role. As a Sales Representative, he builds strong relationships with healthcare professionals across Belgium, ensuring they have the best solutions for their needs. At the same time, he serves as Product Manager, leveraging his technical expertise to manage and optimize Spine 8's product offerings in Belgium.
Known for his calm demeanor and technical proficiency, Nico is a trusted partner for both his colleagues and clients. Outside of work, he enjoys running and cycling, and he is a proud father of two children.

Stijn Vanderginst - Spine Specialist
Stijn Vanderginst is a highly experienced sales professional with a proven track record of success in the medical device industry. His career began at Cormed, where he excelled as Sales Manager, establishing a strong foundation in sales strategy, business development, and customer relationships.
After his time at Cormed, Stijn expanded his expertise by venturing into other industries, applying his extensive sales knowledge to new challenges. Eventually, his passion for healthcare and medical technology led him back to the sector, where he now serves as a Senior Sales Representative at Spine 8, overseeing both East and West Flanders regions.
Known for his high energy, sense of humor, and ability to create meaningful connections, Stijn brings a unique combination of professionalism and charisma to every client interaction.
